The film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower is slated to be released on May 17th, 2013, reports Deadline.

Considered by Stephen King to be his “magnum opus,” The Dark Tower is a series of seven novels being adapted into a film trilogy. They will be directed by Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Angels & Demons) and written by Howard’s frequent collaborator, Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend, Cinderella Man).

Also announced was the date for the 4th film in the Bourne franchise, The Bourne Legacy. Few details have been released about the film, but it is to be directed by Tony Gilroy (Duplicity, Michael Clayton), who wrote the scripts for all three previous “Bourne” films and what I feel was the most underrated film of 2009, State of Play.
