Transformers 3 To Film in May, Scheduled for July 1, 2011 Release

In a story at Deadline it was reported that Transformers 3 is set to start filming this May. The plot for the third installment in the Transformers franchise has not yet been revealed. Also the plot for last summers Transformers 2 has not yet been revealed.

Don’t diss on Transformers 2, that’d be like me saying the new Star Trek was completley asinine what with the future Spock bieng there, so they are technically in a different time loop than the first series so they can suddenly start a whole new series.
Not to diss on the new Star Trek, I actually did like it

What people don’t understand is that Star Trek was not made that way to create new and unknown adventures. See the crew of the Enterprise was slowly assembled through many years, with Kirk taking over as captain at age 31. The time travel scenario was the only to get the whole crew together in the first movie, while also showing a Kirk/Spock origin story. Star Trek was the best movie last year sucker!
Says someone who proposed to his wife at the Star Trek convention… And if it wasn’t used to create a new series… Where is there already a nice release date for another?
I’m proud of that day, I would not have done it differently. I’m saying there are plenty of stories to tell, it was not required to alter the timeline to make original stories within the existing universe.
Oh yeah, and Transformers 2 was awful.

. Like I said I’m not dissing on Star Trek, I really liked it. However I don’t think Transformers 2 was awful and still found it to be a good movie. It just couldn’t live up to the hype that it got because of the first one, which happens to almost every sequel based off of a big box office movie like that. Awful… No… Not as good as the first… Yes… Had a plot though slightly retarded and as asinine as time warp? Yes
