Here’s the first trailer Fox’s the The Three Stooges from the Farrelly Brothers. The film itself is split up in three half hour segments and none of them look good. This has been a long time passion project of the Farrelly Brothers, Jim Carrey was even attached at one point.

The story starts after the boys are left on a nun’s doorstep. Larry, Curly and Moe grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled in an oddball murder plot…while also stumbling into starring in a phenomenally successful TV reality show.

The film stars Sean Hayes (Larry), Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) and Will Sasso (Curly) along with a supporting cast that includes Jane Lynch, Larry David, Stephen Collins, Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Hudson. And for some reason a good portion of The Jersey Shore cast will show up. Can you believe these are the guys who made such great comedies as Dumb & Dumber, There’s Something About Mary and Me, Myself & Irene?

The film hits theaters on April 4, 2012.
