Tom Cruise Confirmed For ‘Mission Impossible 4′

More good news from Deadline. Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible 4. Along with Cruise, J.J. Abrams (director of MI:3 and last years Star Trek) will produce. A director has not yet been found but they are planning on filming this summer for a Memorial Day 2011 Release. Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec who both worked on J.J. Abrams Alias, are already attached to write the script.

Tom Cruise is a great actor and it’s good to see a steady stream of movies coming from him again. Cruise just wrapped Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz and will start filming The Hardy Men (The Hardy Boys) with Ben Stiller soon. And Abrams still has not made anything I have not loved so I’d say we got a good thing going.

And now for the MI series breakdown. I liked the first one quite a bit even though there were a thousand plot holes. The second one, just like everyone else, I thought was awful. Then the third got really good again, although I felt like there was something missing, still can’t quite pinpoint it.

And as for MI:4, I know it’s way in advance but I’m gonna go ahead and say it will be the best one. If I’m wrong come Memorial Day 2011, come back and find this story and tell me I suck!
