The Hunger Games Catching Fire - Who's Hand is That?

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. At least it’s being billed as teaser but it feels more like a full trailer to me, and it also looks great to me!

Disclaimer: I was not especially taken with the first film. I mean, I liked it, but I feel like director, Gary Ross’ style had no place in the series and hurt the overall feel of the film. I know that’s the opposite of pretty much the rest of the world, but that’s just how I feel.

Having said that, the trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire looks amazing. And after seeing Philip Seymour Hoffman as the villain in Mission: Impossible III, I think he is going to nail the role perfectly. And the metro side of me loves Katniss’ wardrobe in the trailer!

‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The sequel to the mega-blockbuster and big time best-seller by Suzanne Collins hits theaters November 22. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Woody Harrelson, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, Meta Golding, Bruno Gunn, Alan Ritchson, E. Roger Mitchell, Maria Howell, Stephanie Leigh Schlund, Sam Claflin and Jeffrey Wright.
