Spider-Man 4 Officially On Hold

After rumors of halting production on Spider-Man 4 were dispelled by iesb back in December, Deadline confirms the fourth installment is now officially on hold. This is particularly disturbing to me, as Spider-Man has been my favorite superhero since my first pair of Underoos. I know Spider-Man 3 had its flaws but I still enjoyed it. Good news, Sony is still committed to a summer 2011 release, it may just be a few months later. And if director Sam Raimi gets John Malkovich as his villain it will be worth the wait. Also it looks like Anne Hathaway won’t be appearing, another plus. And more info.
