Paul Rudd To Play Leslie Knope’s Nemesis on ‘Parks and Rec’

After months of speculation, it’s finally been revealed that Paul Rudd will play Leslie Knope’s polical nemesis on Parks and Recreation. The I Love You, Man star will play campaign rival to Amy Poehler’s Knope character. Vulture is reporting that, “Nobody from the show or NBC would confirm the casting, but our industry sources say Rudd shot his scenes late last year. That likely means his appearance will come sometime within the next month.”
Rudd’s comedy stylings will match the tone of Parks and Rec beautifully, I hope he has a long story arch. As far as Rudd “the movie star” he has several movies coming out this year, including Wanderlust (opposite Jennifer Aniston), Judd Apatow’s This Is 40, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
