Kiefer Sutherland and the ’24′ Movie Begin Filming This Spring

Deadline is reporting that the 24 movie is rapidly ticking toward production. And that Kiefer will return as the most bad-ass government agent in history, one Mr. Jack Bauer. The movie version of the hugely popular Fox television show is being produced by Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment.
Mark Bomback is tuning up the original 24 movie script by Billy Ray (The Hunger Games, Breach) and will turn it in by year’s end. Bomback seems to be writing every major movie right now from The Wolverine (X-Men Origins: Wolverine sequel), to Protection, Total Recall and Jack the Giant Killer.
Tony Scott was originally attached to helm the project but apparently he’s not around anymore. According to deadline, Imagine and the studio have about five directors in mind to step in to film the project in early 2012. The clock is ticking.
