The Awkward Oscar Gush Fests Must Go

Opinion: The awkward gush fests by fellow actors for nominees for the Leading Actor and Actress must come to an end.

Sometime in the last few years   (I can’t be bothered to find out exactly when) someone involved with the Academy Awards decided that instead of showing clips of the nominees, they would bring in other actors to stand up there and declare their love for the potential Oscar winners.   This needs to stop.  It’s boring, and more importantly, I don’t care what the people on the stage have to say about the nominees.  Even if one of those people is Oprah… Actually no, especially if one of them is Oprah.

  4. I agree. The only one I liked was hearing about Morgan Freeman. But still, totally unnecessary.
