According to Deadline, Joaquin Phoenix is the front-runner to play Henry in the Timur Bekmambetov directed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Deadline was told that it’s Phoenix’s, if he wants it. Phoenix would join Benjamin Walker who is set to play Lincoln in the film adaption of the novel written by Seth Grahame-Smith (Buy Here). Phoenix’s character would teach the 16th President how to kill those nasty vampires with his gifted height, strength, and skill with an ax.

As a Phoenix fan since To Die For, I’m way excited to see him return to the mainstream acting world. Nothing against I’m Still Here, it’s just going to be great to see him in a film every six months or so.
