The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is one of the most anticipated movies this holiday season.  Based off of the bestselling book of the same name by Stieg Larson.  The filmis the first of a trilogy of films to be released.

I would like to state that I have yet to read the books, my review is based fully on the movie itself.  For those of you who also  have not read the books and to be honest for those of you who have, I have to start with a warning.  There are some disturbing scenes in this movie.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.  I thought it was full of suspense, action and was a very intriguing story.  The two main characters were played by Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara and they both did an amazing job.  I also loved the music in it.  Trent Reznor (NIN and The Social Network) worked with the music and it fit every situation perfectly.

I couldn’t find many cons with the movie.  As I stated before, there are some scenes that would leave one extremely uncomfortable.  I was also told by someone who had read the books that it followed the books very well.  I give The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo an A and while it’s difficult to recommend everyone go see, I think for those who can handle it they should see it.
