Does The Japanese ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Teaser Trailer Give Away Too Much???

Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers, Spoilers

So the Japanese teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams Star Trek Into Darkness has about 10 more seconds than the U.S. Version. (See U.S. Trailer here) What gives??? The trailer is basically the same except for the last 10 seconds. The extra footage shows two hands pressed up against opposite sides of a glass window. This is obviously in homage to 1982′s Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. But does it mean Spock will die as he did in the film ’82 film or that Khan will be the bad guy? Another question is why was this footage not in the Star Trek Into Darkness U.S. Trailer? My best guess would be that American fans know the source material so well that it would be a plot give away and major spoiler.

The Japanese version leads me to believe that Khan may indeed be in this film. But I sure hope not! Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!
