‘Catcher in the Rye’ Author Dies At 91

Like many young teenagers with angst along with older conspiracy theorist at one time Catcher in the Rye was my favorite obsession. It was always hard to explain why I was so drawn to the book. There something in it that made me think about it all the time, maybe that the protagonist was the eternal outsider?  Even though my obsession has definitely subsided it was still quite saddening to hear that the Catcher author, J.D Salinger passed away.
