Well, that record didn’t last long.
Just three days after a Superman book became the first comic to sell for $1 million, a Batman comic book sold Thursday at auction for about $75,000 more.
Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas reports that a rare copy of Detective Comics No. 27 from 1939 — in which “The Batman” made his debut — sold for a record-setting $1,075,500. Read more at The Washington Post
