‘Avatar’ Tops 2010 Most Pirated Movie List

James Cameron’s 3D sci-fi epic Avatar broke a lot of records this year, amongst them was topping the highest-grossing film of all time list. Avatar also topped one list that no film ever wants to be on, that being most pirated movie of 2010.
According to THR via the New York Post Avatar was illegally downloaded more than 16,580,000 times in 2010, according to the blog TorrentFreak. That figure represents a 33 percent increase in downloads from last year’s most pirated film, Star Trek, which had just under 11 million downloads.
