James Cameron’s Avatar cruised passed The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Wednesday to land at the No.2 spot on the all-time list of worldwide box office. Can Avatar make it to the No. 1 spot? Possibly, but it’s still a long road to the top. James Cameron’s all-time champ, Titanic is still about $600 million away at $1.84 billion.
