“Avatar” Brings In More Than $1 Billion Worldwide In Three Weeks

Now that James Cameron’s Avatar has crossed the billion dollar mark, lets start the watching the race to reach the number one grossing worldwide movie of all time. Already passing The Dark Knight ($1,001,921,825) it only has three more movies in its way before complete worldwide dominance. According to Box Office Mojo Avatar grossed an estimated $68.3 this weekend bringing the domestic total to more than $352 million and more than $1 billion worldwide. Next on Avatar’s list is Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest ($1,066,179,725) and then Lord of the Rings: Return of the King ($1,119,110,941) both will be passed within two weeks. The Big challenge for James Cameron’s, Avatar will be beating his 1997 film Titanic which is sitting comfortably at number 1 with $1,842,879,955 worldwide. At this point I belive Avatar’s takeover is more of a dream than a reality but remember, Cameron is King of the world, if anyone can do it, it’s him.
