’24′ Headed To The Bigscreen!!!

Variety is reporting that after a few failed attempts at a bigscreen version of the popular television show 24 now may be the time. Fox film division has hired scribe Billy Ray (State of Play, Flightplan) to script a feature version of the popular show.
Ray’s story takes Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) to Europe, where he will beat down the baddies on foreign turf. Ray also wrote and directed Shattered Glass starring Hayden Christensen as a plagiarizing Journalist. And probably Christensen best performance, he played the unraveling, lying character perfectly..
The biggest gamble for 24 big screen shot is that movies always have to be bigger and better than then a series. And for a show like 24 that has always had great story, acting and production value, the show itself could be its biggest obstacle to big screen success.
BTW so excited for this, hope it happens!!!
